Albert Herring 🍏

It has been an absolute pleasure to be part of this incredible production of Albert Herring at @royalbirmcons, under the direction of @rebeccameltzerartist and Paul Wingfield. I couldn’t have asked for a better cast and production team to share this experience with!

I’m especially proud that this production broke away from the traditional theatre setting, making opera more accessible and opening it up to new audiences by performing at Gas Street Central. On top of that, we had the privilege of collaborating with so many fantastic institutions and recent graduates—including students from the London College of Fashion, who sourced our costumes, BOA Academy as our WHAM Team, and the brilliant set and prop designer Chloe Matthew, a recent BCU graduate.

The process was a true learning curve for us all and an unforgettable journey—one I’ll certainly never forget!

What an honour it was to perform in @we_at_rbc’s Deep River concert for Black History Month last week. The programme featured an incredible variety of works by composers of African heritage from across the world, spanning from the 18th century to the present day. I’m excited to continue exploring this repertoire and hope to inspire others to do the same—not just in October, but all year round!!
